Hi, I’m Brett Hagan.
I’ve lived and worked in the Territory for over 50 years, and I’ve called Stuart Park home for more than 20 of those. I started out in the insurance industry back in 1980, and over time I’ve worked across a range of roles, but what has always mattered most to me is helping people make informed decisions that protect their future. I have always believed in personal service and being there when people need someone to listen, explain, or stand up for them.
In 1995, I started my own business so I could continue delivering the best possible outcomes for my clients while keeping that local and personal touch. That same commitment drove me to advocate for Territory clients through tough times, whether it was navigating cyclone insurance claims or dealing with the complexities of Workers Compensation.
That journey led me to establish Insurance Risk Solutions in 2010, a Territory grown and Territory owned business I was proud to operate until its sale in 2023.
My connection to the community goes well beyond my professional life. Over the years, I have had the privilege of serving in roles including

Now, I am focused on continuing to give back by advocating for our community. I have spent decades working alongside Territory families and businesses, and I remain committed to standing up for what matters, practical solutions, strong local voices, and a community that stays connected and supported.
I believe in listening and mking sure people feel heard. Our community is strongest when we work together, and I will always be someone who is ready to speak up, support others, and help drive positive outcomes for the Territory.
